The AHI concept was originally created by Dr. John Chen, a noted scholar while he was serving at the White House as a Member of the White House Convention-Committee on Library Science and Information Service under the administration of President Carter. It was a concept back then. In 1991, the spirit of AHI came to life. Around 1994, AHI knew an international expansion thanks to the splendid leadership of AHI new Chairman, his excellency Senator Jean-Robert Sabalat, former secretary of state (Foreign Minister) of Haiti while he was in exile in Washington, DC, USA. Today, thanks to honorable efforts of several dedicated hospitality leaders, scholars and researchers in various countries, Dr. Chen's remarkable concept materialized. Under the leadership of our CEO and President, Dr. Maximillien de Lafayette, an international authority on hospitality, food and beverage, AHI reached a higher level of excellence in operations, management, potentials development, learning and training. The Institute provides numerous services to its members, publishes and distributes books, conducts and gathers research, statistics and data on world hospitality and food services, |
